These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the V2Maps mobile application (the "App"), operated by TrackMyHacks Ltd ("TrackMyHacks", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. What V2Maps does
V2Maps helps horse riders track their rides ("hacks") using GPS, and helps drivers receive proximity alerts when they are near a rider on the road, so they can take extra care. The App is intended as a helpful safety aid and is not a substitute for careful riding, careful driving, or your own judgement and observation of your surroundings.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering, including a valid email address. You may delete your account at any time from within the App; see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.
4. Roles
The App offers two roles: Rider and Driver. As a Rider, you can record hacks and add horse profiles. As a Driver, you can receive alerts when you come near an active hack. You can use either or both roles, depending on the account you set up.
5. Location sharing
When you start a hack as a Rider, your live location is shared with other users in the Driver role who come within range, for the purpose of road safety alerts. By starting a hack, you consent to this sharing for the duration of that hack. You should only start a hack when you are actually about to ride, and end it when you finish.
6. Free usage and subscriptions
V2Maps currently allows a limited number of free hacks per month. A paid subscription is available for additional usage or features; we will clearly disclose the price, billing frequency, and how to cancel before you are charged, and these Terms will be updated to include the relevant subscription terms, processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or our subscription provider (*** as applicable.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Provide false information about yourself, your location, or your horses
Use the App to harass, stalk, or endanger another person
Attempt to interfere with, hack, or reverse-engineer the App or its backend services
Use the App for any unlawful purpose
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
8. Safety disclaimer
GPS location data and proximity alerts depend on your device's hardware, signal availability, and third-party services may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable at times. V2Maps does not guarantee that you, or any rider near you, will always be detected or alerted. The App is a supplementary aid only - riders and drivers must continue to exercise their own care, judgement, and observation at all times, in line with the Highway Code and all applicable road safety laws. We accept no liability for accidents, injury, loss, or damage arising from reliance on the App's alerts or tracking.
9. Intellectual property
The App, its design, branding, and underlying code are owned by TrackMyHacks Ltd. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission. You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as horse photos and profile pictures), but you grant us a licence to store and display that content back to you as part of operating the App.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrackMyHacks Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the App, with reasonable notice where practicable.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and where changes are significant, we will notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
